Did you know that you can pre-order your pastries?
We produce from scratch, traditional French pastries (Croissants pur beurre and Pains au chocolat) as well as our signature pastry “Le Goûtu” (pastry dough lightly soaked with vanilla infused syrup, topped with demerara sugar). We make them using 2 top quality labelled French flours and 2 differents A.O.P. Isigny-St-Mère butters.
As we do everything from scratch on site, we are limited on time and space, we can only produce small batches, therefore our pastries used to be sold out by midday and when it is gone, it is gone. Unlike other coffee shops who serve you processed made and delivered frozen pastries, we only bake once a day.
In order to make sure you have got what you want, feel free to pre-order them so we can save them for you. When the demand is high we can produce an extra batch but keep it mind that it takes 24H to make.
Please, order them the day before for up to 2 pastries, 48H notice for more than 2.

Bienvenue chez Gourmand! Café
Welcome to Gourmand! Café - a Taste of France
The only Authentic and Traditional French bakery/café in the North West.
We serve classic French cakes, breads, pastries, desserts, light hot bites, soups and salads for lunch, hot and cold drinks.
All the food on the Menu is Freshly homemade from scratch by the 2 of us, in the café.
We bake, cook and serve exactly like in any artisan bakery/bistro in France.
We don’t do anything British or in the British way.
The only reason is that if you come into our French café, is to get the French food experience and not something inspired or adapted.
On Sundays, we serve the Brunch à la française, 1 Dish of the day and during the Winter we also serve 2 proper French Winter dishes: La Raclette and La Tartiflette.
Brunch and/or Sunday dish of the day MUST be booked by Fridays 4pm.
We now serve “Plat de Jour” (Dish of the day) every day (Wednesday till Saturday).
These are popular dishes, which are typically served in French Bistros.

More about Gourmand! Café
Who are we?
We are Olivia and Julien, 2 Frenchies living in Warrington for over seven years. Olivia comes from Montpellier, and Julien from Nîmes, both located in the South of France.
Our authentic French Food
Our aim is to offer you a little piece of our home country and a real French food experience with classic recipes, regional and seasonal specialties, so you can explore France right here in Warrington.
Everything is freshly made from scratch, by the 2 of us, on-site, using the best ingredients from France as well as locally sourced (as much as Mother Nature gives us). If you are in a rush, don't worry, you can take your treats away.
Our little piece of France (in Warrington)
Whether you come in for a cup of coffee, a light lunch or an afternoon treat, you will be welcomed in our cosy atmosphere and the free WiFi will allow you to relax and browse, watch, surf, or work while enjoying your treats.
We will also (at least try) to leave French language books, comics and magazines for you to browse. So if you want to improve your knowledge in the language of Cantona, you can practice your French language skills in a real French environment.
Due to the limited space we have, we do not take any bookings, except for the Brunch on Sundays.
Café Suspendu
We will also set up what we call in French: café suspendu / suspending coffee. But with us it will be named “suspending treat”.
That means you can pay for a coffee (or anything else we can do) for anybody who you think deserves a treat who will pick it up at their convenience.
It could be a homeless person, someone who’s had a bad day, a student who’s spent days and nights preparing for an exam, your friends, family, your son or daughter on their birthday…. well, you get the idea!
We look forward to seeing you in Warrington soon.
Bon appétit.
